New York, NY, March 31, 2022 — Tinnibot, the world’s first virtual tinnitus coach, and Tuned, the rapidly growing hearing health platform, today announced a strategic partnership. The partnership opens access to Tinnibot’s tinnitus management app and treatment to all Tuned users.
A landmark 2022 study showed that 1 in 4 working-age individuals have tinnitus. However, the number of audiologists with specialist tinnitus training is limited. For those suffering from tinnitus, accessing appropriate treatment has been an ongoing, decades-long challenge.
“For too long, audiologists and patients were limited to hearing aids as their only treatment tool. We know that those suffering from tinnitus are often told that their only option is a hearing aid. This is the #1 frustration for patients with this condition. We are fortunate that so many of the audiologists on Tuned are specialists, and after speaking with our tinnitus experts, they recommended we reach out to Tinnibot. We are proud to partner with Tinnibot, and formally offer patients a more innovative tinnitus treatment option.” said Kate McGinley, Tuned co-founder and Chief Growth Officer.
“Managing tinnitus is a highly personal process. The benefits of a specific tinnitus management technique will vary importantly from one person to the next. That’s why we developed Tinnibot — as a secure private space where you can evaluate the most effective, clinically-proven strategies for alleviating your tinnitus, and create a daily program with the strategies that work best for you. In the past two years, we’ve been collecting feedback from thousands of Tinnibot users and validating it against clinical evidence to create a series of strategies designed to relieve and manage tinnitus symptoms. We are very excited to work with Tuned to make the Tinnibot app accessible to thousands who are experiencing this debilitating condition.” said Dr Fabrice Bardy, Tinnibot co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Both patients and audiologists using Tuned platform can now access Tinnibot’s app via the Tuned marketplace. Additionally, audiologists will gain access to educational content about tinnitus management and Tinnibot, all hosted on Tuniversity. This education includes both in-depth details about Tinnibot features and capabilities, as well as peer-to-peer information to support patient success with the app.
Tinnibot and Tuned plan to expand the partnership over time.
