New York, NY– Tuned, the leading online hearing health platform, announced today that Andrew Bellavia will join the board of advisors.

Bellavia currently works for Knowles Corp. in the Hearing Health Tech Division, which manufactures receivers and microphones for in-ear devices including earphones, in-ear monitors, active hearing protection, and hearing aids including OTC. Responsible for marketing and business development of Knowles’ Commercial (i.e. non-medical) portfolio, he has been at the forefront of the hearables revolution from the very beginning, working with pioneers Bragi, Doppler Labs, Nuheara, and many others until the present day. Bellavia is also an advocate for the role modern technology and care delivery models can play in addressing the unacceptably low rates of hearing care uptake through his writing, podcast appearances, and webinars. He is also Knowles’ representative for IEMITO, an organization promoting in-ear monitors and their use for protecting musicians’ hearing, and is a member of the Business Advisory Board of ALTI, an audio industry trade association.

“Andy has an incredible track record of advocating for hearing health, identifying innovative new technology, and putting that technology into the hands of those who benefit most: patients and audiologists,” said Danny Aronson, Tuned’s CEO. “He has shown his commitment to making life-changing, affordable hearing technology accessible time and again, and we are incredibly proud he has chosen to lend his talents to Tuned.”

Bellavia said, “Tuned’s goals fit perfectly with my own desire to contribute in any way I can to increase access to care, break down stigma, and enable solutions that meet people’s needs across the hearing loss spectrum, as well as encourage awareness of one’s listening habits and the use of hearing protection in loud environments. Therefore I was thrilled to be asked to join the Tuned Advisory Board and contribute to their mission to empower hearing health for all.”
